An Awesome Aiba Fan Vid I Found!

See... I have a hard time expressing what Aiba means to me. Or, who he is, his essence. But I stumbled on this video posted on the live journal group, Aiba Daily, and it hit me: this is what I mean!! This is our lovable, adorable Aiba!!! *huggles* And, to quote that one 80s song I've been listening to on repeat: "I Just Can't Get Enough!" hehe. XD


Well, the video artist *cough* and I say artist deliberately... because it's art to try to express something... and even more to have it come out right, which I think she did, permitted me to repost on my Vox. Here's the video

I would like to express how grateful I was to see that so many of you had participated in the special screening of our movie at the distinguished University of Southern California. Your warm welcome greatly moved me.

The discussion session I had with all of you after the screening became a valuable experience. I wished to talk to more of you, but with limited time, I could not answer to all the raised hands and that is something I still regret, even now. The messages I received were all enormous encouragement to me and along with your smiles I will cherish them for the rest of my life.

Another Picture of the Gang in a Japanese Newspaper

This time I'm actually in one, huzzah!!! A Vox friend here, Yuuli - who lives in Japan - saw a picture of us in a Japanese newspaper, and she's offering to buy some for us and wrote to me, explaining:

" I can buy backnumber from newspaper company by mailorder. Probably they sell BN to Japanese residents only. I'll be glad to help you if you want a copy (or a few for your friends). A copy should cost less than 200yen, and postages vary depend on how many copies you buy. If you want it, please let me know~."

So yay!! I know I want one. >.< Oh, and the News Paper is Daily Sports. :)

Jun Matsumoto visits USC for "Hidden Fortress" remake

Arashi's Jun Matsumoto made a public appearance on Sunday at the University of Southern California for a special screening of Shinji Higuchi's "Kakushi Toride no San Akunin: THE LAST PRINCESS," a remake of a classic Akira Kurosawa film. The university is the alma mater of George Lucas, whose "Star Wars" was inspired by the original Kurosawa opus. 

Matsumoto greeted the crowd in English, and he was joined on stage by actor Anthony Daniels, who played the character of C-3PO in Lucas' "Star Wars." The audience of 300 people consisted mostly of students, and among them were 36 members of a fan club naming themselves the "Arashi Secret Agency" (a reference to the group's show "Himitsu no Arashi-chan!"). 

The film opens in Japan on May 10, with future openings planned for Thailand and Taiwan. Negotiations are in progress for North American and European releases.

Hidden FortressMatsumoto Jun (24) got a rapturous welcome from fans and students at USC yesterday. He was at the University of Southern California for a special screening of his latest movie, a remake of theKurosawa Akira classic "Kakushitoride no Sanakunin." The venue was chosen for its connection between Kurosawa's original and USC alumnus George Lucas's "Star Wars." Among the audience were future filmmakers and actor Anthony Daniels (62), who played the role of C3PO. At a discussion following the screening, the 300 attendees gave it a big thumbs up. "MatsuJun" said of his role as Takezo, "I put a bit of Spiderman, a bit of Captain Jack Sparrow, of all sorts of Hollywood heroes into the part. I wanted to capture the essence of Hollywood." A member of the idol group Arashi, who are somewhere in the middle of the Johnny's Jimusho hierarchy, he's probably better known in the U.S. as an actor, especially since a subtitled version of his 2005 TBS drama series "Hanayori Dango" was aired here. But among those welcoming him yesterday were 36 members of the Arashi Secret Agency fan club. The movie opens in Japan on May 10.
